Senior Chef (Bread & Sponge Expert)

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Chef to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will excel in making perfect bread and cake sponges, and have expertise in preparing poultry and vegetables. This role requires a passion for cooking, exceptional culinary skills, and the ability to lead and inspire a kitchen team.

Responsibilities

  1. Bread and Pastry Making
    • Prepare a variety of high-quality breads, including artisan, sourdough, and specialty loaves.
    • Create flawless cake sponges with consistent texture and flavor.
    • Develop and test new bread and cake recipes to expand the menu offerings.
  2. Culinary Preparation
    • Prepare poultry dishes with precision, ensuring optimal flavor and presentation.
    • Skillfully prepare a variety of vegetable dishes, focusing on freshness and taste.
    • Ensure all dishes are prepared to the highest standards of quality and consistency.
  3. Kitchen Leadership
    • Lead and supervise kitchen staff, providing training and guidance as needed.
    • Oversee daily kitchen operations, ensuring efficiency and adherence to health and safety regulations.
    • Manage inventory, ordering supplies, and maintaining stock levels.
  4. Menu Development
    • Collaborate with the management to develop and update the menu, incorporating seasonal ingredients and new culinary trends.
    • Ensure all menu items meet the dietary and allergy requirements of customer.
  5. Quality Control
    • Maintain strict hygiene and sanitation standards in the kitchen.
    • Conduct regular quality checks to ensure all food items are prepared and served to perfection

Qualifications

  1. Education
    • Culinary degree or diploma from an accredited culinary school
    • Advanced certifications in baking and pastry arts are a plus.
  2. Experience
    • Minimum of 5-7 years of professional culinary experience, with at least 3 years in bread making.
    • Proven expertise in bread making, cake sponge preparation, and cooking poultry and vegetables.
  3. Skills
