We are seeking a highly motivated, skilled and experienced Electronics Engineer to join our food-tech startup and lead the design and development of special purpose machines. The ideal candidate will possess practical, hands-on experience in developing electronic systems independently. A strong understanding of stepper/servo motors, drivers, sensors, power supplies, voltage regulation, and microcontrollers is essential. Additionally, knowledge or interest in robotics will be considered an added advantage.
Responsibilities
Design and Development
Conceptualize, design, and develop electronic systems for special purpose machines.
Create detailed schematics and PCB layouts.
Conduct feasibility studies and perform engineering calculations to support design decisions.
Prototyping and Testing
Build and test prototypes to ensure they meet design specifications and performance criteria.
Identify and resolve any issues during the prototyping phase.
Conduct performance tests and make necessary adjustments to improve functionality.
Project Management
Manage projects from concept to completion, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to budget.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including mechanical engineers, software engineers.
Provide technical guidance and support throughout the project lifecycle.
Component Selection and Integration
Select appropriate electronic components, including motors (stepper/servo), drivers, sensors, power supplies, and microcontrollers for the machine.
Ensure proper integration of electronic and mechanical systems.
Power Supply and Voltage Regulation
Design and implement power supply circuits and voltage regulation systems for various components.
Ensure the reliability and efficiency of power systems in the machines.
Microcontroller Programming
Program microcontrollers to control various functions of the special purpose machines.
Develop firmware and software necessary for machine operation and automation.
Robotics Integration
Apply knowledge of robotics to enhance machine functionality and automation.
Stay updated with the latest advancements in robotics and incorporate relevant technologies into machine design.
Documentation
Maintain comprehensive documentation of design processes, calculations, testing results, and modifications.
Prepare user manuals and maintenance guides for the developed machines.
Qualifications & Skills
Education
Master’s/Bachelor’s degree in Electronics Engineering (M.tech./M.E./B.Tech./B.E.) or a related field. A Master’s degree is preferred.
Experience
Minimum of 3+ years of experience in electronics design and development, specifically in designing special purpose machines.
Proven track record of successfully developing electronic products independently from concept to production.
Technical Skills
Proficiency in electronic design software (e.g., Altium Designer, Eagle).
Strong knowledge of electronic systems, including stepper/servo motors, drivers, sensors, power supplies, voltage regulation, and microcontrollers.
Hands-on experience with PCB design, prototyping, testing, and troubleshooting electronic systems.
Familiarity with manufacturing processes and materials selection.
Knowledge or interest in robotics and automation.
